What You Need To Know (Starting Fall 2026)
Enrollment and other required fees are charged at the time of registration. Beginning in Fall 2026, all students are required to pay their fees by the published payment deadlines each term.
If fees are not paid by the deadline, you may:
- Be dropped from one or more classes before the term starts
- Have a registration hold placed on your account
A registration hold may:
- Prevent you from enrolling in future terms
- Limit access to certain college services
Payment Deadlines – Fall 2026
All required fees must be paid by the deadline based on when you registered.
- July 7, 2026 – For students who registered between April 28 and June 29, 2026. This payment deadline was waived due to technical difficulties.
- August 3, 2026, by 6:30 p.m. – Students who registered between April 28 and July 27, 2026, and have an outstanding balance of $200 or more must pay their balance by this deadline. Students who do not pay by the deadline will be dropped on Tuesday, August 4, from all Fall 2026 classes, including waitlisted classes.
Pay early. Waiting until the last day may not provide enough time to resolve payment or account
issues before the deadline.
Students Owing $200 or More
Students with an outstanding balance of $200 or more must make payment before 6:30 p.m. on August 3, 2026. Students who do not pay by the deadline will be dropped on August 4, 2026, from all Fall 2026 classes, including waitlisted classes.
Students who are dropped must re-register for classes. The College cannot guarantee that previously enrolled classes will still be available.
What Happens if I Am Dropped for Non-Payment?
Students with an outstanding balance of $200 or more who do not pay by the published deadline will be dropped from all Fall 2026 classes, including waitlisted classes.
After being dropped:
- You will lose your seat in all classes and waitlists.
- You must re-register for classes if seats are still available.
- The College cannot guarantee that previously enrolled classes will remain available.
- Additional registration restrictions may apply if a fee hold is placed on your account.
Registration Holds
Students with unpaid balances may have a registration hold placed on their account.
A registration hold may:
- Prevent enrollment in future semesters.
- Restrict certain registration activities until the balance is paid.
- Remain in place until the outstanding balance is resolved.
Fee holds are removed within one (1) business day after payment is received in full.
Waitlisted for a Class?
- Check your Compton College email daily
- If you are added to a class, you must pay your fees by the next deadline
Failure to pay on time may result in:
- Being dropped from the class
- A registration hold on your account
Removing a Fee Hold
To register for a future term, all outstanding fees must be paid.
- Fee holds are removed within one (1) business day once your balance is paid in full
Paying Your Fees
You can review your balance and make payments by:
- Logging into MyCompton - Select “My Payment Center”
- Stop by the Bursar's Office in SSB 161
Important:
All required fees—including optional fees selected during registration (such as the Student Activities Fee or Student Representation Fee)—must be paid by the deadline.
