6:00 p.m. (venue will open at 4:00 p.m. for grads and guests)

Location:
Dignity Health Sports Park Tennis Stadium (near CSUDH)

Parking: Free parking in Lots 10 & 11.

Student Speaker

Applications for the Student Speaker closed March 29. The Class of 2024 Student Speaker will be announced closer to the ceremony.

Class of 2024 and Ceremony Photos

Photos of the Class of 2024 graduates and the ceremony will be available on the Compton College Flicker channel 2-3 weeks after the June 7 ceremony.

Commencement Program: Graduates and guests will receive one complimentary commencement program per adult. A downloadable/printable PDF of the final program will be available 1-2 days prior to the ceremony.

Guests:
-- No limit of guests per graduate.
-- Guests will be unable to save seats for their party, as seating is available on a first-come basis.
-- Seating for guests with disabilities is available at the top of sections 3-6 and 27-30. Able-bodied guests may sit in the seats directly below the designated seating areas.
-- Balloons, banners, umbrellas and air-horns are prohibited.
-- All guests entering Dignity Health Sports Park are subject to a metal-detector screening, visual inspection, and bag inspection. Dignity Health Sports Park reserves the right to enforce their Clear Bag policy. Click here for details.

Food/Drinks: Outside food and drink are prohibited. Exceptions may include: Items deemed necessary due to dietary needs, religious requirements, or medical conditions.

Lost & Found:
All lost and found items will be turned into Guest Services at Dignity Health Sports Park. At the end of the event, Guest Services will turn in all unclaimed lost and found items to the Security Department.


Graduates:

RSVP to Confirm Participation in the Ceremony: Graduates are asked to RSVP so we have an accurate headcount for the ceremony and reception; guests are not required to RSVP.

Rehearsal
: None. Attend a virtual Grad Info session to learn what to expect at the ceremony.

Virtual Grad Information Sessions: May 16, 23, 30, and June 6 from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. via Zoom (Meeting ID 835 7042 6680, Passcode 127218)

Caps & Gowns and Class of 2024 Packages: Class of 2024 Grad Packs, including caps & gowns are now on sale at herff.ly/compton. Order by April 28, 2024 to guarantee delivery by June 7.

Reception
: Starts at 4:15 p.m. (for graduates only)

Masks: Encouraged but not required. Masks will be provided to graduates upon request.

Check In
:
-- Begin at the Welcome Area located in Lot 15/front of venue, then proceed to check-in between 4:15 - 5:40 p.m.
-- A photo ID is not required but you will be asked to provide your Compton College student ID number upon check-in.
-- Graduates should leave purses, coats, and other belongings with family members. Lockers are not available, staff will not watch your personal items during the ceremony.
-- Dignity Health Sports Park reserves the right to enforce their Clear Bag policy. Click here for details.
-- Late Arrivals: Late arrivals must enter the stadium through the check-in area, not the guest entrance. Late arrivals will be escorted into the ceremony by Compton College event staff.

Cap & Gown and Tassel
:
-- Cap & gown and tassel must be worn during the ceremony.
-- Click here to view the policy regarding adornment (cords, pins, medallions, and sashes).
-- Gowns must be zipped/buttoned.
-- Graduates may order their cap and gown online or in-person at the Compton College Campus Bookstore (Bldg. R). Cap and gowns may be purchased through June 7.

Photos of Grads Receiving their Diploma Covers:
will be available on the Compton College Flicker channel 2-3 weeks after the June 7 ceremony.

Diplomas: Graduates participating in the commencement ceremony will receive a Compton College diploma cover. Actual degrees and certificates will be mailed in the fall semester to the address on file in your student account.
