Staying Eligible for Basic Needs Services

Supporting Your Success and Educational Progress

Compton College is committed to helping students meet their basic needs while making progress toward their educational goals.

Beginning in Fall 2027, the College will introduce Student Expectations for certain Basic Needs programs and services, including:

  • Free meal programs
  • Farmers' market vouchers
  • Emergency grants
  • Other designated Basic Needs support programs

Additional programs may be added or updated as funding and program requirements change.

Students will have a full academic year to understand the expectations before eligibility requirements begin in Fall 2028.
