Service Area Outcomes for Assessment of Human Resources Functions

The human resources function at Compton College is a continuous improvement effort to assess and improve human resources services are provided to the campus community. There are currently three areas of focus:

1) Maintain updated job descriptions and job announcements.
1a) Review, update, and maintain job descriptions and job announcements to align with equal employment opportunities for all.

2) Seek members of District staff to mentor new hires in key areas with emphasis on EEO and diversity enhancement.
2a) Offer pro-active employee support to provide consistent high-quality services to include professional development opportunities for faculty, classified professionals, and administrators.

3) Conduct surveys of applicants to identify barriers and/or areas for improvement.
3a) Lead and promote a diverse and multicultural environment to advance an equitable environment for all stakeholders.
