Ryan Dixon, Painter
We are excited to welcome Ryan Dixon to our Compton Community College District Maintenance and Operations family. Ryan brings over a decade of experience in maintenance, event support, and customer service, having worked in various roles including Team Lead at Amazon and maintenance positions at Duncan Bolt and Redbox. His skills in event setup, custodial care, and facilities upkeep ensure our campus spaces remain clean, safe, and event-ready. Known for his strong work ethic, team spirit, and dedication to excellence, Ryan looks forward to contributing to the success of campus events and building strong relationships with staff and students alike. We are thrilled to have Ryan join our team and bring his expertise to support our continued success!
Fun Fact: Ryan is a vinyl and CD collector.
Mario Hernandez, Outreach and College Promise Coordinator
We are excited to have Mario Hernandez continue his journey here at Compton Community College District! Mario has been a dedicated contributor to the college since 2015. With extensive experience as a Categorically Funded Program Technician, he has played a key role in student recruitment, program coordination, and administrative operations—supporting initiatives such as Dual Enrollment, the Conner Promise Program, and the Student Ambassador Program. He brings strong technical expertise in systems like Banner, CRM Advise, and Microsoft Office, along with a passion for student engagement and success. Mario is a collaborative leader and an active member of campus initiatives, including the FACH Student Success Team and the UndocuAlly Taskforce. We’re proud to have him grow with us and continue making a positive impact on our campus community.
Fun Fact: Mario is a proud first-generation Compton College graduate who grew up in this community. "Supporting students from similar backgrounds is more than a job for me—it’s a personal goal. I’m committed to helping students see college as a real and achievable path, no matter their background.
