Reading Apprenticeship Workshop Series
This zoom series is open to all faculty and will introduce you to the Reading Apprenticeship framework as a support for creating more active and equitable learning environments in any discipline. Over a series of four synchronous online workshops, participants will: Gain experience identifying and leveraging their own expertise reading the texts (problems, graphs, proofs, narratives, images, etc) of their discipline, in order to better support students disciplinary reading and problem solving Plan, execute, and reflect on text-based lessons that engage students in metacognitive inquiry and support deep learning Engage as a supportive community of practitioners focused on improving their practice.
