Study Room Policy

The Library offers six study rooms to currently registered Compton College students. Additional study rooms are also available on the second floor of the L-SSC building inside the Student Success Center.

Rules for Use

Library Conduct should be observed when using a study room.
Limited to three people per room.

Use of a study room is further limited by the following:

Two hours per person, per day
No food or drinks without a lid
Maintain appropriate volume for conversation. Study rooms are NOT soundproof.
Do not damage, add, or rearrange furniture.
Do not lower shades.
Use only dry erase markers on whiteboards (not provided by the Library).

Any infraction of these rules will result in the loss of study room privileges.

How to Borrow a Study Room

Go to the Circulation Desk to verify your online reservation or request a study room in person. You will need to present your Compton College student ID card.
You will need to sign a study room usage form and be responsible for your behavior.
Library staff will unlock the study room for you.
