Daniel Chenault, PresidentDaniel Chenault is a regional construction manager for Southern California Edison. He has more than 17 years of professional experience with the public utility company and has also worked as a senior operations supervisor, field supervisor, and journeyman lineman. He currently manages contractors performing maintenance and other projects, as well as oversees the competitive bid, award and management of construction contracts. Chenault earned certification as a human performance practitioner at the University of Idaho. He also earned a journeyman lineman certification through National Joint Apprentice Training. He is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in organizational management at the University of La Verne. |

Edward Morris Magee, Vice PresidentEdward Morris Magee is an emergency medicine physician working at various local medical facilities, and an assistant clinical professor at the University of California, Riverside School of Medicine. With more fifteen years of teaching experience, Magee has taught in a variety of academic settings, including training doctors in Kenya. Several of his medical papers have been published, and he has earned an number of awards and honors throughout his academic career. Magee earned his medical doctorate at the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine, and completed his residency in emergency medicine at the Alameda County Medical Center in Oakland, California. |

Sheri Berger, TreasurerDr. Sheri Berger is the vice president of academic affairs at Compton College. She joined the College community in June 2020, fulfilling the role as the chief instructional officer, while providing leadership in the planning, development and implementation of the District’s academic programs. Berger’s leadership extends to serving as the College’s accreditation liaison officer; co-chairing the Accreditation Steering Committee and the Guided Pathways Committee; and contributing to important initiatives as a member of various committees and councils. Before Compton College, Berger served in a similar position at Los Angeles Pierce College and was also dean of academic affairs at Los Angeles Valley College after starting her career as a math instructor at California State University, Northridge and East Los Angeles College. She has a doctorate in educational leadership from CSU Los Angeles and a master’s and bachelor’s degree in math from CSU Northridge. |

Heather Parnock, SecretaryAs Compton College's director of community relations, Parnock coordinates and directs all community relations, marketing, and government and public relations activities to enhance the Compton College and Compton Community College District (CCCD) brand, in addition to supporting the college's enrollment management efforts. Parnock earned a bachelor's degree in art from California State University, Long Beach, and an associate degree in graphic design from Santa Monica College. She is a member of the Community College Public Relations Organization and the National Council for Marketing & Public Relations. |

Keith CurryDr. Keith Curry is the President of the Compton College and CEO of the Compton Community College District. Curry is responsible for overseeing all departments and functions of Compton College and the District, and serves as secretary for the CCCD Board of Trustees. He served as the interim CEO for the District from 2011-2013 after which he was permanently appointed to the position. He first joined the former El Camino College Compton Center as dean of student services in 2006. Prior to joining the district, Curry worked at the University of California, Irvine (UCI) as director of the Early Academic Outreach Program. He is a recipient of the ACCCA's 2018 Harry Buttimer Distinguished Administrator Award and the 2019 Champions of Equity presented by the Campaign for College Opportunity and the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials Educational fund. In June 2020, he was invited to serve on the California Higher Education Recovery with Equity Task Force. Curry earned his doctorate in educational leadership from UCI, and a bachelor's degree in American studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz. |

Paul FlorPaul Flor is dean of student learning at Compton College. He has worked as a political science instructor in the political science department since 1997 and subsequently became division chair. He has also served as an adjunct instructor at El Camino College since 2015. He has served Compton College as president of the Academic Senate, SLO coordinator, and chairperson of Faculty Council. In addition, he serves as the Title III coordinator, overseeing the federal grant program which helps fund the Welcome Center and the Learning Lab at Compton College. In 2018, he was honored with the Distinguished Faculty Award. Flor earned a doctorate degree in leadership in higher education from Northcentral University, a master's degree in educational administration from California State University, Los Angeles, and a master's degree in Latin American studies and a bachelor's degree in political science both from UCLA. |

Robert GarciaRobert Garcia serves as the director of operations for Healing Dialogue and Action, a Los Angeles nonprofit organization that facilitates healing for communities impacted by violence and mass incarceration and innovating strategies aimed at a more restorative approach to the criminal justice system. He oversees programs that address systemic barriers to success, including financial hardships and limited access to resources. Garcia is currently earning a master’s degree in social work at California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH). He earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology also at CSUDH and an associate degree in sociology from Coast Community College in Fountain Valley, Calif. He is also a state certified alcohol and drug counselor. |

Joshua JacksonJoshua Jackson is a Compton College alumnus (2017). He is employed by the Los Angeles Unified School District where he has served as a college advisor for Crenshaw High School for the past five years. While at Compton College, he served as Associated Student Government president. He is a student equity advocate who, while at Compton College, helped enact change to address food and housing insecurity of college students which ultimately led to Compton College breaking ground for a student housing facility eight years later in January 2025. He earned a bachelor’s degree in African American studies at the University of California, Los Angeles and an associate degree in political science from Compton College. |

Elizabeth MartinezElizabeth Martinez has worked at Compton College for 15 years in various administrative positions, and has served as vice president of student services since last September 2017. Prior to being hired to a full-time position, she served as the director of enrollment services, Outreach and School Relations, and interim director of the EOPS/CARE programs. She also worked as the Transfer Center coordinator for six years. Martinez earned a master's degree in education, specializing in multicultural counseling in 2005 from San Diego State University, and a bachelor's degree in sociology from UCLA in 2004. |

Don MasonDon Mason has more than 20 of experience in higher education and law enforcement. Don has worked at the police academy as a recruit training officer and at Compton College as a professor of administration of justice, corrections, and homeland security. He previously taught emergency preparedness at El Camino College, Rio Hondo College, and California State University, Los Angeles. Mason has experience presenting throughout the country and has coauthored many articles on public safety. Currently, he is a member of the International Association of Emergency Managers. |

Tandiwe MushongaTandiwe Mushonga is a Compton College alumnus. Mushonga holds a doctorate in psychology and serves as a forensic clinician at the Sylmar Health & Rehabilitation Center in Sylmar, Calif., providing individual psychotherapy to individuals with severe, chronic mental illness. Throughout her clinical career, she has advocated for patients and supported the justice system’s attempts to reform the community’s perception of mental illness through education. She also serves as co-vice president of the Delta Theta Sigma Sorority’s Los Angeles/South Bay Chapter. Mushonga earned a doctorate in clinical forensic psychology at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Los Angeles and bachelor’s degrees in criminal justice and African studies from California State University, Fullerton. |
