Do you need a little help with homework?

Free tutoring is available for Compton College students in all major subject areas each semester!  Registered Compton College students can meet with a tutor at the Student Success Center. Use the Student Success Center tutoring program and get better grades! There are also Drop-In Centers for both Writing and Math/Science - try them out!

Need reference books? Visit the Library-Student Success Center!

The 45,000-square-foot Library-Student Success Center building promotes academic success by providing reference services, general library orientation, research, instruction and access to group study rooms. The facility houses four drop-in tutorial centers, including tutoring, a Writing Center, Math & Science Center, and a Reading Success Center. The Student Success Center also offers a Supplemental Instruction program, Directed Learning Activities, academic skills workshops and peer-led tutoring. The Multidisciplinary Computer Lab features 100 new computers with a variety of academic software for students to utilize for computer-aided learning, word processing and research.

Planning to transfer to a four-year college or university? 

Speak to a counselor in the Counseling Center to discuss class selection, academic focus and your educational plan. The Transfer/Career Center offers transfer and career counseling, workshops, university tours and assistance with university applications. Need cash for college? 

Thousands of dollars in financial assistance are awarded to Compton College students every year! Inquire at the Financial Aid and Scholarship Office.
