The online application is available at On the homepage, students must first log into MyECC and then select “Scholarship Application.”

To help offset the cost of obtaining a higher education, more funds are being allocated toward helping students succeed. Within the last three years, more than 100 ECC Compton Center students received a combined total of $93,000 in scholarships. Many of the scholarships fully cover the cost of tuition, textbooks and fees.

Scholarships are available to eligible students across all academic disciplines, as well as students working toward a certificate in Career and Technical Education programs. In addition, students participating in the Extended Opportunity Programs and Services (EOPS) and Cooperative Agencies Resources for Education (CARE) programs may also apply for a scholarship.

A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 or better and at least six graded units of El Camino College coursework are required for all scholarships. Students are awarded scholarships based on the following criteria: honors and academic achievement, financial need, leadership and community service, and organizational or campus club affiliations.
