History 101
Course Information:This course is a chronological survey of American historical development from the first Americans to 1877. Focus is placed on the understanding of American social, intellectual, political, economic and diplomatic institutions. The expansion of the young nation within the scope of war and diplomacy and the influence of culture and ethnicity in American history will also be discussed.
