Provides English, math, and ESL assessment testing for determination of placement into courses which require satisfactory scores. Obtains background data from students and provides this data to counselors to assist in academic advisement.
Assessment data is used to assist counselors in advising students for courses. In the assessment process, students:
- Take math and reading tests
- Complete computerized assessment forms
- Request career interest inventories and study skills surveys
Placement
As part of the matriculation process, it is recommended that new students take the English, math or ESL assessment test. Multiple measures such as high school records, experience, etc., are used in academic advisement.
Assessment Testing Schedule
Assessment Testing for placement in English or math classes are given throughout the academic year in the G-32.
No children or friends allowed in testing room.
You also must present a current drivers license picture or a school ID and a permit form from the Administration Office in order to take the test.
