Student Area Outcomes (SAOs)

Student Area Outcomes (SAOs) are explicit statements describing knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or attitudes that a student will be able to demonstrate at the end (or as a result) of his or her engagement in a particular lesson, course, program, or collegiate experience. SAOs are assessed at the Course, Program, and Institutional levels.

SAO #1

As a result of participating in First Year Experience, students will

gain an understanding of the academic programs and services

offered through El Camino College Compton Center.

SAO #2

As a result of participating in First Year Experience, students will
understand the various certificates, degrees, and transfer programs
that are offered at El Camino College Compton Center by the end of
their first academic year.
