Continuing Student Who Submitted the Authorization and Consent to Release Form

If you submitted an Authorization and Consent Form to release your academic records to Compton College, then the transition process includes:

  • Assigning you a new college I.D. number and college email account
  • Introducing a new student portal - MyCompton
  • Implementing a new registration process

Student I.D. Number and Email Account

You will receive an email to the email address provided upon the creation of your Open CCCapply account, with your new Compton College student I.D. number and email account.

If you have forgotten your CCCapply-associated email account or log in information, please visit the Welcome Center to obtain assistance; or contact CCCapply at support@openccc.net, 877-247-4836, or visit www.openccc.net/uPortal/p/Help.ctf1/max/render.uP.

Student Email and MyCompton Portal

As a Compton College student, you are assigned a free student email account through Microsoft's Office 365 for Education. Your student email address acts as your login to your Office 365 account and the MyCompton portal.

You are required to activate your Office 365 account in order to log into the MyCompton portal, where you may register for Summer 2019 classes (and subsequent semesters) and access additional Student Services.

Click on the MyCompton link here to activate your Office 365 account: MyCompton

temporary password

Your temporary password for Office 365 is a capital "A" followed by a lowercase "a" combined with your birthdate - "YY" (last two digits of the year), "MM" (for the month), and "DD" (for the day), followed by an exclamation point: AaYYMMDD!

For example, if your birthdate is January 6, 2009, your temporary password is Aa090106!

Office 365 and MyCompton Assistance

Need help? A video is available online at www.compton.edu/support that walks you through the process of activating your Office 365 account and how to access MyCompton.

In-person assistance and computers are available in the Welcome Center (D-27) and in the Admissions & Records Office.

Summer 2019 Registration

Registration for summer 2019 begins May 14 via MyCompton. You will receive an email to both your personal and Compton College (Office 365) email accounts with instructions on how to register.
