For further questions please contact the Admissions & Records office at (310) 900-1600 x 2050 or COMAdmissions@elcamino.edu

Deadline for Graduation Intents and Petitions For Certificates

Filing period for Winter and Spring:  January 7, 2013 - March 7, 2013.
Forms will be available online during this period.

Online Forms:     Graduation Intents Form          Petitions for Certificates

  • Students that fail to petition by the deadline will have to submit a new petition to graduate for the following term when the next filing period opens.  Late requests will not be considered!

Prior to Filling Petition

Prior to filing the Intent to Graduate and/or the Petition for a Certificate, it is highly recommended that students see a counselor before their final term at El Camino College.  This will ensure that students meet the requirements for their degree and/or certificate.

Requirements

  • Have all official transcripts from former college(s) on file at El Camino College.  Failure to provide these transcripts can delay processing the graduation intent and further prevent the student from graduating in their desired term.  Please note that the college does not accept hand carry transcripts or unofficial transcripts.  Official transcripts from the former college(s) must be mailed directly to El Camino College Compton Center, Admissions and Records Office, 1111 E Artesia Blvd, Compton CA 90221.
  • Complete the form legibly, accurately, and entirely.  Missing or illegible information will slow processing the petition.
  • Meet the published deadline as found in the class schedule.  Students that fail to submit their intent or petition by the published deadline will have their petitions processed the following term.

Forms submitted at the Admissions and Records Office of the Compton Center are forwarded to evaluators at the Torrance campus once a week.
