ECC Compton Center Helps Homeless, In-Need Students


The ECC Compton Center Candidacy Application and Self-Evaluation Report are due to the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC) by January 6, 2017. The ACCJC External Evaluation Team visit is scheduled for Monday, March 6, through Thursday, March 9, 2017.

The ACCJC has selected Dr. Kindred Murillo, Superintendent/President of Lake Tahoe Community College, as the External Evaluation Team Chair.

The next steps in preparing the Accreditation Self-Evaluation Report include:

  1. Continue editing the current draft of 2017 ECC Compton Center Self-Evaluation Report.
  2. Request approval of the 2017 ECC Compton Center Self-Evaluation Report by the ECC Compton Center Faculty Council at their December 2016 meeting.
  3. Request approval of the 2017 ECC Compton Center Self-Evaluation Report by the El Camino College Academic Senate at their December 2016 meeting.
  4. Schedule a conference call with the External Evaluation Team Chair to the discuss site-visit.
  5. At the December 19 El Camino Community College District Board of Trustees meeting, request acceptance of the ECC Compton Center Candidacy Application and Self-Evaluation Report.
  6. Submit the ECC Compton Center Candidacy Application and Self-Evaluation Report prior to January 6, 2017.
