Compton College / Library-Student Success Center / Study Rooms


The Library offers six study rooms to current registered students, faculty and staff. Use is restricted to groups of three to six people.

NOTE: Study rooms are provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations are not accepted.
Additional study rooms are also available in the Student Success Center. 

To use a study room:

  1. Go to the Circulation desk and request a study room. At least three group members must be present.
  2. One member of the group will need to sign a study room usage form, and will be responsible for the group's behavior.
  3. Library staff will unlock the study room for the group. 


Library conduct should be observed when using a study room.
Use of a study room is further limited by the following:

  • Two hours per group, per day
  • No eating or drinking
  • No talking on cell phones
  • Maintain appropriate volume for conversation. Study rooms are NOT soundproof!
  • Do not add furniture or lower shades
  • Use only dry erase markers on white boards (not provided by the Library)

Any infraction of these rules will result in the loss of study room privileges.
