Library-Student Success Center (L-SSC)
Located on the first floor of the 45,000-square-foot Library-Student Success Center
building, the Library provides reference services, general library orientation, research,
instruction, and access to group study rooms. The Student Success Center is located on the second floor, where students have access to four drop-in tutorial
centers, including tutoring, a Writing Center, Math & Science Center, and Reading Success Center. The Student Success Center will also offer a Supplemental Instruction program, directed
learning activities, academic skills workshops, and peer-led tutoring. The multidisciplinary
Computer Lab features 100 new computers with a variety of academic software for students to utilize
for computer-aided learning, word processing and research.
The mission of the El Camino College Compton Center L-SSC is to foster a productive learning environment by providing quality resources, instruction, and instructional support services to the college and the community.

Find a journal, magazine, or newspaper article?If you're looking for an article on a particular subject, try searching one of our Library Databases. Although the Library has 40+ databases available, two good choices to start off with are Academic Search Premier and Proquest Research Library.
Ask for a class textbook to use in the Library?The Library has most (not all) class textbooks available for in-Library use only
Request a study room?There are six study rooms available in the Library, for groups of three to six students. Ask at the circulation desk. Student ID with current sticker is required.
