These are the online databases which the library subscribes to for the students of El Camino College Compton Community Educational Center. To access any of them, please select the database link by clicking the blue title. A prompt will ask for a user name and password. The Reference Librarian on campus has a list of user names and passwords. You should show your student ID to get the list. Enter the user name and password supplied for each database as listed.

Health Reference Center Academic [1980-2008] Multi-source database provides access to the full text of nursing and allied health journals, plus the wide variety of personal health information sources in InfoTrac's award-winning Health Reference Center. All in a single, easy-to-use database, the material contained in this database is intended for informational purposes only.
2. Health and Well ness Resource Center [1980-2008] Provides instant access to carefully compiled and trusted medical reference materials. Includes nearly 400 health/medical journals, numerous reference volumes, over 700 health videos from partner Healthology, Inc., hundreds of pamphlets and health-related articles from 2,200 general interest publications in addition to a broad collection of Gale reference titles. Material contained in this Resource Center is intended for informational purposes only.

1. Literature Resource Center- LRC [2008] Full-text journal articles, literary criticism, reviews, biographical information, and overviews on over 130,000 writers in all disciplines, from all time periods and from around the world.
2. Noodle Tools: A powerful note-taking software that promotes critical thinking and creativity combined with the most comprehensive and accurate MLA- and APA-style bibliography composer on the Web. This is aid for researchers who need to cite their sources of information. Please get the printed guide from the library to help you register on this site.

1. PROQUEST Provides one-stop access to a wide range of popular academic subjects. It features a highly-respected, diversified mix of scholarly journals, trade publications, magazines, and newspapers. This combination of volume and scope makes it one of the broadest, most inclusive databases ProQuest has to offer.
2. FACTS. Com or Facts On File World News Digest @ FACTS.com connects all the relevant material in the database, using more than half a million internal hyperlinks. Thousands of additional hyperlinks connect researchers to relevant information from the three other databases @ FACTS.com: Issues & Controversies; Today's Science, and the World Almanac Reference Database, including the World Almanac Encyclopedia.
3. SIRS: A comprehensive database portal which is comprised of several distinct reference databases including SIRS Researcher®, SIRS Government Reporter®,
SIRS Renaissance which are updated daily, SKS provides relevant, credible information on social issues, science, history, government, the arts and humanities. Articles on controversial issues are offered featuring two sides of the issues: their PRO and CON. Full-text articles and Internet resources are carefully selected from thousands of domestic and international publications and respected organizations. Databases about countries of the world, political conditions and their maps are also offered.
4. CQ Researcher: Often the first source recommended when researchers are seeking original, comprehensive reporting and analysis on issues in the news. Founded in 1923 as Editorial Research Reports, CQ Researcher is noted for its in-depth, unbiased coverage of health, social trends, criminal justice, international affairs, education, the environment, technology, and the economy. 1. American History Online is a comprehensive and authoritative reference to the most important individuals, events, and topics in United States history. This invaluable reference source is organized by content type, topic, era, and activity as well as by the National Standards for U.S. History. Thousands of fully hyper-linked entries allow users to follow a topic to related biographies, primary source documents, images, and more than 500 historical videos. Web links direct users to a number of relevant educational sites.
2. American Women’s History Online contains biographies, historical and topical subject entries, speeches and other documents, maps and charts, photographs, over 60 videos, and timeline entries that cover more than 500 years of American women’s history.
3. African-American History Online has extensive hyper-linked entries, including photographs, maps, and over 70 videos, span more than 500 years of African-American history, and cover topics such as affirmative action, Africa, black nationalism, civil rights, emancipation, Harlem Renaissance, leaders, religion, slave living conditions and liberation strategies, sports, visual arts, and more.
