Strategies for Success in Distance Education

COURSE INFORMATION

The goal of this course is to prepare students for taking distance education classes.  This course covers the basics of taking an interactive, asynchronous distance education course via the internet or other computer instructional television based systems.  Use of e-mail, online class interactions such as groups, world wide web access, equipment needs and differences between online and onsite courses will be covered. TEXTBOOK

There is no required textbook for this course. However, the following textbook is highly recommended:  E-Learning Companion: A Student's Guide to Online Success, Watkins; Corry, 3rd Edition, ISBN-13: 9781439082454.
