Child Development Center

Abel B. Sykes Jr., Child Development Center, accepts applications for enrollment of children 12-48 months. If you are a Compton College student, you may be eligible for FREE or low-cost childcare.

Housed in a brand-new facility, this infant/toddler and preschool program offers excellent, affordable childcare, and a unique learning experience for the whole family. Children learn and grow while parents attend class and study. The education extends to college students studying early childhood education, as they apply classroom lessons to a preschool setting. Free or Low-enrollment fees are available to those who qualify.

The Child Development Center offers full and half day childcare services subsidized by the State Department of Education.
