Abdul Sesay Profile
Born in Sierra Leone West Africa, Abdul completed his bachelorâ€™s degree in Social Science
at California Polytechnic States University (CALPOLY) and his Masterâ€™s degree in Sport Psychology
from the University of the Rockies. Abdul is a certified United States Soccer Federation Soccer Coach and has a National B Coaching License.
His extensive coaching experience includes three years as the assistant coach of the menâ€™s and womenâ€™s soccer teams at the Los Angeles Harbor College; two years as a associate head coach at Leuzinger High School; and four years as head coach for Leone Star of Southern California Soccer Club Los Angeles. He is currently the Head Coach for Manhattan Beach Sand and Surf under-15 boyâ€™s soccer team since 2011. He also holds the post of Head Soccer Coach (F/S Boys) at Palos Verdes High School since 2010.
His coaching experience includes boys and girls of a broad range of ages from youth to adults. His sports psychology background allows him to work with diverse needs populations as well as at all levels of skill and competition, from recreational, intra-mural to college, regional as well as at national level of soccer instructionAbdul has not only excelled as a coach, but has reached the highest honor as a player. He represented the Sierra Leone National Team, in the youth level as well as the first team. As a student he was part of Cal Poly Pomona and State University San Luis Obispo, both Division 1 Teams. He also played overseas for A.S. Kaloum, a first division club in Guinea, Africa.
