Broderick Jackson joined the Compton Tartar Football staff in 2005 and is now entering his third season as head coach. Jackson's experience includes coaching at the high school, community college, NCAA levels, as well as the professional level.
With more than 20 years of experience in the game, Jackson has coached numerous all-conference and All-American student-athletes, including former Tartar and NFL linebacker Ashlee Palmer (Bills, Lions, Giants).
Jackson served two previous stints with the Tartar Football program, first as special team's coordinator, running back coach, and associate head coach during 2005-2008 - then as offensive line coach and run game coordinator during 2010-2011.
Jackson earned a master's degree in physical education from Azusa Pacific University, a bachelor's degree in kinesiology from California State University, Dominguez, and an associate degree in physical education and recreation administration from El Camino College.
He is an adjunct instructor of health studies at both El Camino College Compton Center and West Los Angeles College.
Jackson is a member of state and national organizations, including the American Football Coaches Association, Urban Football Coaches Association, Canadian Football League Alumni Association, and the Football Coaches Network.
