New Compton College Mascot

At the June 27, 2022 Board meeting, the Compton Community College District Board of Trustees approved Resolution No. 06-27-2022G To Retire The Current Mascot And Adopt New Mascot which officially retires the Tartar mascot effective July 1, 2025.

Now it's time to begin the input process for the official Compton College mascot. This is where you come in!

The purpose of this brief survey is to learn which mascot ideas you like, and if you don't see one on the list, an opportunity to add your own ideas. This survey will be open for the next several weeks and should only take about 5 minutes of your time. Keep in mind, criteria for the new Compton College Mascot includes:

Evoke pride and school spirit.
Represent all student-athletes.
Does not objectify any person or groups of people.
Reflect the diverse campus community.
Honor and celebrate the Compton College experience and history.

62.78% - Retire all previous Tartars mascot images AND the name "Tartars"
37.22% - Keep the name "Tartars" and develop a new mascot image.
